Free documentary screening: The War Shirt: A Dialogue With The Ancestors

This is a free public screening of a 45 minute documentary film created by Santa Barbara based actor-dancer Michael Downey and local filmmaker Rod Lathim. The film is partly about Michael's personal journey as an African American gay man with American Indian family influences. It is also a reflection on the interconnections between our ancestors, cultural traditions, and the events that unfold in present time. A panel discussion will follow.
