2022 Performer Spotlight: Miriam Dance
Miriam Dance is a talented performer, singer and songwriter and has written songs for many artists of many different genres. “Heartstrings,” Miriam’s first solo EP was released in February of 2019. Miriam uses life experiences to create music whether it’s for the collective - from writing the anthem: “Rise Up, Tribe Up” following the senseless murder of George Floyd to empower and support the Black Lives Matter Movement; to her personal experience of battling breast cancer, through which her song “Journey” was created, to encourage those fighting Cancer and to raise awareness. Miriam’s work and story has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, and People Magazine. Miriam has also performed in several Musicals and her original play “In His Hands”premiered in the UCSB New Works Lab where she received her B.A. in Theatre Directing and Playwriting.
